Principal's Message

Victor Valley High School has the longest tradition of any secondary school in the High Desert, serving our community for more than 100 years.  We are excited that you have enrolled and will be a part of our Jackrabbit family!

Our school was once again nationally recognized as one of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best High Schools” in 2017.  We were also awarded a Silver Medal from the California PBIS Coalition for outstanding PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) implementation.

VVHS promotes college and career readiness.  We have exceptional AP classes, an outstanding AVID program, and amazing career pathways in the fields of medical, construction, auto, graphic arts, culinary arts, computer literacy, video gaming, and so much more.   Two of our medical students earned gold and silver at Skills USA at the National level, and several of our medical and construction students placed first at Skills USA at the State level.

Our athletic programs just finished an amazing year with football, volleyball, boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, boys soccer, baseball, softball, and track earning their way to CIF playoffs.  Our champion wrestlers earned their 6th CIF title in eight years, our boys soccer team earned a spot in the CIF finals earning CIF Champion Runner-Up, our baseball team made it to the CIF semi-finals, and our outstanding cheerleaders placed first at nationals.

VVHS strives for excellence in academics, career and college readiness, and athletics.  We continue to create a safe and positive school environment where students and staff behave The Jackrabbit Way:  Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.

We encourage all incoming freshmen to attend our Link Crew Orientation which will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, beginning at 8 am and ending at noon in the Michael Alan Davis Gymnasium.  Students will receive lunch at noon.  Parents are encouraged to drop students off at 7:45 am and pick them up at 1 pm after lunch and schedule distribution.

We look forward to an exciting 2017-2018 school year.
